Privacy policy

Juno is an app that runs on your Mac. This page says, in plain words, what stays there, what leaves, and what this website keeps. Juno is in beta, and this page will change as the product does.

What stays on your Mac

• Your chats, the files Juno makes for them, and the log of what it did.
• Juno’s memory of you: plain files in a folder on your Mac that you can read, correct or delete.
• Your saved passwords and cards: in your Mac’s Keychain, behind Touch ID. Juno’s AI never sees a password or a card number.
• Your voice: the wake word and speech to text run on your Mac.

What leaves your Mac, and when

• The model you picked. To do a task, Juno sends what the task needs (your request, and what it read to answer it) to the model provider you chose and signed in to, or whose key you gave it. That provider handles it under its own terms.
• The sites it works on. Juno has a browser. When it opens, searches or fills a page for you, that site sees what any browser would send it.
• The sites you are signed in to. Juno works in its own browser. When a task needs your mail or a document, it opens that site there, signed in as you, the way you would.
• Updates. The app checks a public file to see if a newer version exists, and downloads it.
• Reports to us. The beta sends us three kinds of report unless you turn off “Send reports to the team” in Settings: a rating you give (with your note, and the chat only if you tick it), a problem you report, and errors in the app itself. They are cleaned of personal details before they leave. They never include your memory, your passwords or your cards.

Apart from those reports, we run no server that receives your chats, your memory or your log.

What this website keeps

• This website collects no email address and has no sign-up form.
• This website has no analytics and sets no advertising cookies.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, and we do not train models on your chats or your memory.
